Lloyd DeVincenzi
, B.A (Hons), LL.B., B.C.L., LLM, Partner, was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales and subsequently in Gibraltar. Lloyd is also admitted to practice in New York. Lloyd is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the New York State Bar Association and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta, McGill University and the University of London. Lloyd worked in the private and public sectors in Canada before starting his legal career at Hassans, Gibraltar’s largest law firm. In 2001, Lloyd left private practice to head the Legal, Tax and Compliance Unit of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch Private Bank Ltd. He subsequently took up a position as Director of Legal Affairs for a private investment office before co-founding Magister Law. Lloyd’s practice focuses on banking law and financial regulation, and is developing his practice in mediation and ADR generally.



Steve Marsden, BA (Hons) TEP, Partner, was called to the Bar of England and Wales and admitted to the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. He is a member of the Middle Temple in London and a graduate of the University of Warwick and the College of Law in London.  He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

He joined Hassans, the jurisdiction's largest law firm, in 1997 and worked in its Financial Services Department and later in its Tax and Overseas Property Department. Having initially focussed on financial services and fund work, Steve's areas of practice cover group structuring, trusts, personal and corporate taxation, as well as transactional work for commercial property and general investments.  He has served as a director of several large property and asset holding groups, with assets in excess of several billion pounds.
